The AMI 503 is a device capable of generating up to 10,000 and 18,000 pulses with optional internal interpolation ranging from 2 to 50 times. It features a hollow shaft with a diameter of 12 to 28 mm made of stainless steel. The shaft can handle an axial load of 10 N and a radial load of 20 N, with a maximum rotating speed of 6,000 rpm. The device operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +80°C and can withstand vibrations of 10 g (20 to 2,000 Hz) and shocks of 100 g (11 ms). It has an ingress protection rating of IP 64 on the shaft and complies with the 2014/30/EU EMV-rules, specifically DIN EN 61000-6-2 and DIN EN 61000-6-3 standards.
The device outputs square wave and sinusoidal signals using an LED light source. It operates at voltages of 5 Volt ± 5%, 10 to 30 Volt, and 5 to 30 Volt, with a maximum current consumption of 100 mA without load. The output frequency is 300 kHz with a square wave at 5 Volt and 10 to 30 Volt, and 1 MHz with interpolation. It features a 5 Volt Line-Driver and a 10 to 30 Volt push-pull short-circuit proof output, with a current output of 20 mA. The device provides 2 channels, A and B, which are phase-shifted by 90° electrically, and includes a zero-pulse of 1 pulse per revolution with lengths of 90°, 180°, or 360° electrically. All signals are available with inversion.
