Specifications:
The AMI 492 encoder offers up to 10,000 pulses with optional internal interpolation ranging from 2 to 50 times. It features a stainless steel shaft with a diameter of 10 mm, capable of handling axial loads up to 10 N and radial loads up to 20 N. The encoder supports a maximum rotating speed of 10,000 rpm and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +80°C. It is designed to withstand vibrations of 10 g (20 to 2,000 Hz) and shocks of 100 g (11 ms). The ingress protection rating is IP 64 on the shaft.

Electrical Data:
The encoder outputs square wave signals using an LED light source. It operates at voltages of 5 Volt ± 5%, 10 to 30 Volt, and 5 to 30 Volt, with a maximum current consumption of 100 mA without load. The output frequency is 300 kHz with square wave signals at 5 Volt and 10 to 30 Volt, and 1 MHz with interpolation. Output levels include a 5 Volt Line-Driver and a 10 to 30 Volt push-pull short-circuit proof, with a current output of 20 mA. It provides two channels, A and B, phase-shifted by 90° electrically, and a zero-pulse of 1 pulse per revolution with lengths of 90°, 180°, or 360° electrically. All signals are available with inversion.
