Specification Sheet Melt Flow Indexer The Davenport MFI-9 melt flow indexer is used to determine the melt flow rate of a polymer by extruding it in a molten state through a calibrated die using a reference weight. The MFI-9 is a competitively priced product, which achieves high accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility of results. The instrument is ideal for low volume users who require the same quality machine as larger corporations. This independent, stand alone system contains its own embedded software. It can be set up with up to five standard test set ups, which can be recalled nstantly at the press of a button. All test procedures run sequentially, with the machine providing audible prompts to guide the user.
