Introduction
The CS Series is an advanced AC current source designed for testing products with real-world current profiles. It integrates current trans-conductance amplifiers, a digital controller, and a harmonic power analyzer, all managed by a microprocessor with a user-friendly interface.
Applications
Ideal for precision testing of circuit breakers, overload relays, and non-destructive fuse testing, the CS Series supports arbitrary waveform generation for real-world condition simulations. It is also used in life testing of connectors, electro-plating, and calibration of current measurement devices.
Power Systems
Offering programmable AC current sources from 3 kVA to 18 kVA, the CS Series supports single and three-phase modes and includes a power analyzer for harmonic analysis. Remote control is available via IEEE-488, USB, RS232C, and optionally Ethernet.
Current Control
Utilizing true current feedback control, the CS Series maintains specified current levels despite load changes, with a maximum compliance voltage of 135 Vrms and programmable lower trip levels.
Waveform and Transient Generation
The system provides various waveforms, including sine, clipped sine, and square, along with user-defined arbitrary waveforms. It supports transient generation with programmable steps for detailed analysis.
Measurements
Featuring a real-time measurement system with a 4K-sample buffer, the CS Series offers standard and advanced harmonic analysis measurements.
Software and Interface
The Instrument Control Software (ICS) offers a graphical interface for Windows, enabling comprehensive control and measurement logging.
Specifications
Detailed specifications cover output power, current, frequency, and protection features, with various input options and configurations.
Physical and Environmental
Designed for robust operation, the system includes forced air cooling, meets transportation standards, and operates within 0 to 35°C, offering multiple cabinet and controller options.
