AMETEK PROCESS INSTRUMENTS PRODUCT DATA SHEET 5100 CO2 Gas Analyzer ATEX Zone 1 regulated areas Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the highest-level impurities found in natural gas and petrochemical production processes. It must be removed to meet pipe-line quality British Thermal Unit (BTU) standard specifications for consumer gas, and to protect pipelines from corrosion which occurs when CO2 and moisture (H2O) combine to form carbonic acid. The 5100 is an extractive-type CO2 analyzer designed for hot/wet sample analysis, with a tunable diode laser. There is no sample conditioning for the analyzer system, just fully integrated sample handling to transport the sample. The 5100 measures at a wavelength free of interferences from the hydrocarbons typically found in natural gas streams, to provide continuous and accurate results. The analyzer uses a sealed reference cell for continuous on-line optical system verification and offers high specificity and sensitivity. Line lock The wavelength of interest is constantly verified using an integrated reference. Designed for use in difficult environments Can be installed in many environments, including those defined as hazardous. Web-based interface Connect through a remote PC using standard web browser.
