Product catalog summary
Technical Specifications
  • Performance: The CO-AF Carbon Monoxide Sensor has a sensitivity range of 55 to 90 nA/ppm in 400ppm CO, with a response time of less than 25 seconds from zero to 400ppm CO. The zero current is between -5 to +4 ppm equivalent in zero air, and the resolution is less than 0.5 ppm equivalent RMS noise. The sensor can handle up to 5,000 ppm CO under warranty and has a linearity error of +15 to +25 ppm at full scale.
  • Lifetime: The zero drift is less than 0.2 ppm equivalent change per year in lab air, and the sensitivity drift is less than 8% change per year. The operating life is over 24 months until 80% of the original signal is maintained.
  • Environmental Sensitivity: At -20°C, the sensitivity is 63 to 88% of the output at 20°C, and at 50°C, it is 102 to 115%. Zero output changes are less than ±3 ppm at -20°C and less than ±8 ppm at 50°C.
  • Cross Sensitivity: The sensor has filter capacities of 250,000 ppm-hours for H2S, 600,000 ppm-hours for NO2, 20,000 ppm-hours for NO, and 300,000 ppm-hours for SO2. Sensitivities to various gases are generally below 0.1%, except for NO at 5% and H2 at 60%.
  • Key Specifications: The temperature range is -30 to 50°C, pressure range is 80 to 120 kPa, and humidity range is 15 to 90% rh continuous. The recommended load resistor is 10 to 47 ohms, and the sensor weighs less than 6 grams.
Figures and Data
  • Figure 1: Schematic diagrams of the CO-AF sensor from different views.
  • Figure 2: Shows sensitivity variation with temperature changes.
  • Figure 3: Illustrates zero output variation with temperature, expressed as ppm gas equivalent.
  • Figure 4: Demonstrates the sensor's response to step changes in CO concentrations from zero to 2% CO by volume.
Additional Information: All sensors are tested under ambient conditions with a 10-ohm load resistor. Customers are advised to test sensors under their own conditions to ensure suitability. For disposal instructions, contact Alphasense or its distributor. For further information, visit the Alphasense website.
