This compact device uses a 2-wire, 4-20 mA loop powered configuration and incorporates ultra high capacitance aluminium oxide sensing technology for optimum performance. The AMT dewpoint transmitter is also available with Modbus RTU Serial Line RS485 digital communication. Various dewpoint ranges are available, covering an overall range from -120 °C to +20 °C (-184 °F to +68 °F) dewpoint. The output is configurable in °C dewpoint, °F dewpoint, ppm(v), ppb(v), g/m3 and lb/MMSCF. AutoCal Span Correction A key feature of the AMT dewpoint transmitter is the proprietary AutoCal capability. Advanced Microprocessor Circuitry Using advanced RISC microprocessor based circuitry, the AMT delivers high resolution measurements and advanced self-diagnostic capabilities for fault conditions. This ensures stable, repeatable operation in demanding industrial environments. The rugged stainless steel construction and industrial size C DIN EN 175301 connector provide a weatherproof protection rating of IP65 (NEMA 4) and can withstand extreme environmental conditions across a wide range of industrial applications. The AMT dewpoint transmitter has been tested to withstand pressures up to 35,000 kPa (350 bar) for direct connection into pipelines. Easy to install and operate, the AMT requires little or no maintenance. The compact design allows straightforward integration into existing systems. When installed in remote locations, the 4-20 mA signal can be transmitted to a control system over distances up to 1,000 metres (3,280 feet). Hazardous Area Applications For applications in hazardous environments, an intrinsically safe version, the AMT-Ex, is available and certified to ATEX and lECEx standards. Each AMT dewpoint transmitter is supplied ready for use with a calibration certificate traceable to National & International Humidity Standards, an instruction manual and two metres of cable. AutoCal An important feature of the AMT dewpoint transmitter is the AutoCal (automatic calibration) function. Each sensor is precisely manufactured to saturate with water vapour at its design maximum, forming the basis of the automatic calibration method. When the sensor is exposed to moisture above its maximum operating range, it rapidly comes into equilibrium and ceases to respond to any further increase in moisture.
