As the film is extruded from the die, it comes in contact with water to quench the film. In contrast, if the film is cooled very slowly, the heated film is susceptible to stretching and tearing. By cooling the film quickly with water, these issues are averted, maximizing production time and increasing production capacity. With Alpha Glacier, the integrity of the bubble improves and prevents line interruptions during processing, promoting economic viability.
