General Information Series Lettering—Units and Sections When using sections in conjunction with units of different series letters, consult the MCC Modifications for Unit and Structure Compatibility table below. All sections in this publication are series letter L; all units are series letter Q and later. In 1982, modifications were made to improve the integrity of the gasketing between the unit door and structure of NEMA Type 1 with gasket and Type 12 sections.
