Portable Digital Mass Flow Measurement and Calibration alicat.com/mb alicat.com/pcu Series Overview Alicat Scientific MB-Series digital mass flow meters accurately and rapidly measure the mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate, pressure and temperature of process gases from a common 9-volt battery. The GCKIT option couples the MB-Series meter with fittings and tubing to create a portable gas chromatography calibrator. Alicat’s PCU-Series portable calibration units combine up to three M-Series or MW-Series mass flow meters with totalizers and high-accuracy calibration inside a rugged industrial carrying case with its own power supply and battery. PCU’s include integrated push-connect fittings for each meter and Flow Vision software. At the heart of Alicat’s mass flow meters and calibrators is a patented, internally compensated, laminar differential pressure measurement technology that yields linear results over a very wide flow range. This produces volumetric and mass flow data that is fully compensated for changes in pressure and temperature and corrected for the user’s STP. All portable mass flow meters and calibrators come with NIST-traceable calibration sheets and generous customer support, including technical phone support, prompt recalibration service and a lifetime warranty. Alicat MB-Series and PCU-Series mass flow meters feature large integrated displays with touchpadaccessible gas selection from 30 user-selectable gas calibrations and both analog and RS-232 digital communications. Extensive product customizations are available, including Class 1, Div 2 ATEX/CSA ratings for use in hazardous environments. The MB Series is available with corrosion-resistant wetted materials (MBS Series) and low pressure drop (MBW “Whisper” Series, also PCUW “Whisper” Series). Applications Alicat Scientific MB-Series digital mass flow meters and PCU-Series calibrators allow precision calibration of other flow and pressure instrumentation. Multi-variable measurement and control functionality, multiple gas calibrations and a low 200:1 turndown ratio allow a single MB-Series meter or PCU to calibrate a wide range of meters and controllers. Available 0.4% accuracy, 0.2% full-scale repeatability and <10 ms control response times ensure reliable measurement accuracy of gas flow instruments and processes. The MB Series is available in full-scale mass flow rates from 0-0.5 sccm to 0-4000 slpm. The PCU Series is available in full-scale mass flow rates from 0-0.5 sccm to 0-1500 slpm (0-250 slpm for PCUW’s).
