ViscoLine™ Multipass Unit The tubular heat exchanger series from Alfa Laval Applications The ViscoLineTM Multipass unit is ideal for small flows and for the heating, cooling and pasteurization of products with low and average viscosity and containing fibres and small particulates. Standard design The ViscoLine Multipass unit consists of a bundle of tubes mounted inside an outer shell. The inner tubes are arranged to allow two, three and six passes inside the shell by means of flow distribution headers at each end of the unit. The product medium flows inside the bundled tubes, and the service medium outside. If required, the product tube is available with a corrugated surface featuring either hard or dimple patterns. The service media shell is made of a hard, corrugated material. The only spare part needed is one gasket in each header. Standard materials Other materials are available on request.
