ISC II Centrifugal air cooler General information & application Air coolers with centrifugal fans are specifically designed for air sock applications in mainly working and packaging rooms, where low air velocities and uniform hydrometric conditions are essential. The ISC II series has a wide capacity range. Units are designed for an easy maintenance with immediate access to the inspection areas. This series is available as direct expansion evaporator and brine unit cooler. Refrigerants Capacities (SC2) Heat exchanger coil The heat exchanger coil is designed to achieve optimal cooling capacity thanks to the staggered tube pitch that gives a high secondary fin surface. This large fin surface ensures longer intervals between defrost cycles, therefore reducing the amount of daily energy used. DX coils are manufactured with high efficiency internally grooved copper tubing to minimize the internal refrigerant volume. For water/glycol applications, the coil is designed with same tube pitch and smooth 5/8” copper tubing. Refrigerant connections for water glycol are threaded, vent and drain plug are standard. The ISC II range is available with fin spacings 4, 6 and 8 mm. Frame and Casing All units are manufactured with corrosion resistant materials. Coil frame AluZinc, casing pre-galvanized epoxy coated sheetsteel, drip tray in aluminum coated. The cooler construction has been designed to ensure easy installation and maintenance. A large, deep drip tray allows fast discharge of defrost water and the hinged construction allows for easy access. Structural parts are fastened with stainless steel bolts and screws. All panels are hinged for easy accessibility, installation, and maintenance. Fan motors Centrifugal fans available in three different sizes. Fan motors are Efficiency Class IE2, 4-poles, single speed, 400V/ 50 or 60Hz/3 phase. Protection class IP 55. Each unit is selectable in 4 levels of AESP (Available External Static Pressure), with single or double fans and 2 speed levels. Different transmission ratios are provided by different combination of pulleys and two belt drives. Motors may be regulated by an external cutting phase control or an external inverter. Design Pressure Design pressure H(C)FC DX 33 bar, brine 6 bar. Each heat exchanger is leak tested with dry air and finally supplied with a nitrogen pre-charge. Floor mounting supports as an optional extra.
