Product catalog summary
Overview
The HEATPAC Electric Heating Systems are designed for heating mineral oils in booster systems and before centrifugal cleaning. They are type-approved by several international bodies including ABS, BV, DnV, GL, LR, NK, RINA, and RMRS.

System Components
The HEATPAC EHS System includes the EHM Heater, a control unit (EHS-61), a power unit (EHS-62), and ancillary equipment such as PT-100 temperature sensors and safety valves.

Features and Benefits
The system is compact and lightweight, offering incremental electronic temperature control and high-efficiency heat transfer. It provides ease of installation, instant temperature control with accuracy within ±1°C, and gentle treatment of oils without deterioration.

Working Principle
Oil is continuously fed to the HEATPAC heater, with temperature regulated by a control unit or external controller. The system uses specially designed thyristor modules for power regulation, ensuring rapid response to load changes and outstanding control performance.

Safety Features
Standard safety equipment includes a high temperature sensor and an independent temperature guard to prevent overheating. The heater automatically turns off if the pump starter is turned off.

Heater Capacity
Capacity varies with temperature increase and flow rate, available in six sizes from 7 to 72 kW.

Technical Specifications
The heater is made of diecast aluminium elements in a mild steel pressure vessel, with a design pressure of 1.5 MPa and a maximum temperature of 160°C. Power supply options include 230, 400, 440, 480, and 690 VAC.

Installation and Support
The HEATPAC heater can be installed in any position and is designed for on-site installation in engine rooms. Comprehensive documentation and international service support are available.

System working principle The fuel or lubricating oil is fed continuously to the HEATPAC heater. A signal from the Pt-100 temperature sensor at the oil outlet is transmitted to the HEATPAC control unit (EHS-61) or external controller, such as an EPC-41/400 or EPC 50 (EHS-62) which regulates the amount of electric power to the heating elements. Heat is transferred to the oil through the corrugated aluminium surface. (Fig. 3). Overall incremental operation is automatically controlled by the HEATPAC control unit or the external controller. The HEATPAC control unit and power unit features specially...

Main system components HEATPAC EHM Heater, standard design The heater comprises rectangular diecast aluminium heating elements mounted on a flange to form a compact heating block which is inserted in a pressure vessel made of mild steel. A baffle inside the vessel divides the flow into two passes. The oil inlet and outlet are located opposite each other on the same level, enabling installation in a series. The terminal box housing at the top of the heater is separated from the hot pressure vessel to maintain a low temperature in the box. The hot side of the pressure vessel is adequately insulated...
