Application

The Alfa Laval AS-H Coplastix line includes custom flow control devices suitable for waste, potable, storm, hydro, industrial, and sea water applications. The range includes slide gates, stop gates and logs, and flap valves, designed for longevity and minimal maintenance.

Slide Gate/Weir Gate

These gates feature internal steel matrices encapsulated in Coplastix composite, providing strength and reduced friction. They are lightweight, allowing for easier manual operation and reduced power requirements for actuators. They meet the AWWA C563 standard and are available in various sizes and mounting options.

Flap Valves

Designed to prevent reverse flow, these valves are available in circular and rectangular forms, constructed from Coplastix or rubber materials. They can be wall or pipe-mounted and come in sizes ranging from 4" to 144".

Watertight Stop Logs

Used for temporary or infrequent channel isolation or water level control, these logs are easy to handle and available in configurations up to 192" wide.

Watertight Stop Gates

Hand-operated gates made entirely of Coplastix material, available in sizes from 8" to 24". Larger gates are manufactured similarly to slide gates.

Operating Equipment and Materials

A variety of operating equipment is available, including handwheels, gearboxes, and actuators. Frame types are available in carbon steel epoxy coated, 304, and 316 stainless steel, with other materials available for specific project needs. All hardware is 316 stainless steel.

Slide gate/weir gate Alfa Laval AS-H Coplastix slide and weir gates are built with internal steel matrices that lend strength to the doors. The matrices are then encapsulated by a special formulated composite called “Coplastix”. All contact faces are made from composite and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene materials for minimum friction, selflubrication, and a lighter gate.
