PulseOne

Product catalog summary
Features & Benefits
PulseOne cable assemblies are pre-molded to the cable, simplifying the specification process. They provide tactile and audible confirmation of a proper mate, ensuring secure connections. The 'D' shape friction fit design allows for easy alignment and connection, even in blind mate applications, and can be disconnected by simply pulling. Touch-proof contacts protect against accidental touch, and the connectors are sealed to IP-64 and IP-67 standards to prevent water and cleaning agents from entering when mated. Optional active components can be added for identifying and controlling device parameters.

Standard Connector Options
Plug cable assemblies are available with 4, 7, 10, and 14 pin options, with future options for shielding and PCB integration. Receptacle assemblies can be cable or panel mounted, with similar pin options and future shielding capabilities. Custom cables, lengths, colors, and keys are available upon consultation.

Technical Specifications
  • Mechanical: Mating cycle durability varies by component, with receptacles exceeding 5,000 cycles and limited-use plugs under 100 cycles. Mating forces are specified per EIA-364-13.
  • Environmental: Flex cycles for unshielded cables exceed 5,000, while shielded cables exceed 2,500 cycles.
  • Electrical: Operating current is 1.0A per contact with a maximum temperature rise of 30°C. Operating voltage is 300 V RMS, with dielectric withstand voltage (DWV) specifications for pin-to-pin and pin-to-ground.

Component Materials
Standard cables are 28AWG stranded with PVC insulation and TPU jackets. Contacts are copper alloy with gold over nickel plating, and connector housings are made of polyamide.

Applications
PulseOne is suitable for electrosurgical devices, physiological and environmental monitoring, and entertainment applications.

PulseOne-1

PulseOne cable assemblies are ready-made to meet your exacting specifications. Their robust design ensures longevity in repeated use applications. Sterilize by EtO, or disinfect with standard hospital cleaning agents, and PulseOne will continue to perform. The simplicity of PulseOne makes this cable assembly the right choice for single use applications as well. By selecting the “Limited Use” option, you get great performance at the right price. To add intelligence to your PulseOne cable assembly, choose the PCB option and you can program in limits to the number of uses, proper OEM identification and other risk mitigating properties (PCB options will be available in the near future).
