Overview: The PL-1200RG-N Series is a plastic shell auto-coupling
connector system with a 78 pole capacity, specifically designed for electro-surgical catheter applications. It offers a compact and cost-effective solution with more features, contacts, and termination options than competitors.
Packaging: The connectors feature a Pulse-Lok® auto-latch/quick release mechanism for secure connections in critical surgical applications. They are available in 14 standard color combinations and have proprietary keying to prevent incorrect mating.
Environmental Specifications: The connectors operate in temperatures from -20°C to +105°C, are moisture resistant to IP-67 standards, and can be sterilized using steam, gamma, or EtO methods. They are also resistant to common operating room cleaning solvents.
Electrical Specifications: The connectors have a mating life of at least 5,000 cycles and a contact resistance of less than 10 milliohms.
Material: The connector housing and flex reliefs are made from thermoplastic materials. Contacts are made from brass and bronze alloy, with gold plating per MIL-G-45204C standards.
Performance: The connectors are waterproof, sterilizable, and chemically resistant, with up to 5,000 mating cycles. They are available with factory-terminated, overmolded cable assemblies for enhanced flex and strain relief.
Specifications: The panel-mount receptacle can handle up to 20,000 mating cycles with a retention force of 50 lbs. minimum. Various contact configurations are available, supporting up to 78 contact positions.
Contact Termination Options: The connectors support termination to flex circuits and rigid PC boards, facilitating automated mass termination techniques.
Accessories: Available accessories include disposable receptacle backshells, panel-mount receptacle dust covers, and plug soaking caps, all providing IP-67 environmental seals.
Connector Assembly Tools: A range of installation tools and soldering fixtures are available for assembling and terminating the connectors.
