Principles of Freeze-Drying:

Freezing Process:
The freezing process affects product quality and drying time. Continuous systems use blast air freezing belts, fluidized beds, or freezing channels. For liquids like coffee extract, automatic freezing belts with adjustable conditions are used.

Granulation and Freeze-Drying:
Frozen liquids are granulated and classified in cold rooms, then dried in vacuum chambers at pressures lower than the vapor pressure of the frozen products. ALD offers both static and dynamic freeze-drying systems, with dynamic systems using direct contact with heating surfaces for efficient drying.

Condenser Vacuum System:
Efficient water vapor removal is achieved with low-temperature surfaces. The condenser's size and connection to the sublimation tunnel determine capacity. Automatic defrosting systems maintain continuous operation.

Process Control and Refrigeration:
Process control is managed by PLC systems. Refrigeration systems, using ammonia absorption or compressors, achieve low temperatures necessary for freeze-drying, with the choice depending on cost and operational factors.

Processing Lines:
