Standard layouts Alcad has developed a series of standard layouts in which a battery may be ordered. Whether the battery is being installed on a rack, in a cabinet or is simply freestanding, the same configuration principles can be applied. The cell is turned through 90° and then connected width-to-width - “crosswise” mounted. This minimises the installation's overall length. The cell's width is used to calculate the row length.
