

Introduction
The Model AQE2000 is a portable cartridge system designed by Air Quality Engineering Inc. for industrial source capture applications. It effectively captures airborne contaminants such as welding smoke, grinding dust, and plastic dust.
Principles of Operation
The system operates by drawing in contaminated air at a rate of 1100 cubic feet per minute (cfm) through a hood/arm assembly. Heavy particles are directed into clean-out trays, while submicron particles are trapped in two highly efficient cartridge filters. Clean air is then diffused out of the unit. The filters can be cleaned using a reverse pulse system activated by a shop air hose.
