- The equipment must comply with ASTM-D999 (Method A1 or A2) and support a travelling rotation of 2.54 cm (1 inch). It can be either a rotating (reciprocating) type or a vertical vibrating type.
- It should include a rotation speed display or frequency display.
- A timer is required.
- A spacer with a thickness of 1.55-3 mm and a width of 50 mm is necessary.
- Place and secure the testing sample on the testing table.
- The testing frequency should allow the sample to leave the test table, enabling the spacer to be inserted smoothly between the sample and the table.
- Conduct 14,200 vibrations. After half the vibrations, rotate the sample 90º and continue. If 90º rotation is not possible, rotate 180º. For vertical vibrations, no direction change is needed.
- Check for any damage to the package and, if possible, inspect the goods inside.
