Available Products, Physical Properties, and Packaging
  • Products and Physical Properties: Available in "H" and "DE" filament types, both with a length of 2" and solids content ranging from 0.30 to 0.70, tested by Owens Corning Test Method W-05Fb-1.
  • Packaging: Packaged in 50-pound polyethylene bags with a weight tolerance of +1, -0 pound.
  • Chopped Length Tolerance: At least 99% of strands must be within ± 1/8" of the nominal length, with a maximum of 1% exceeding this but less than 6". Bags with strands longer than 6" are rejectable.
Workmanship and Visual Defects
Bags with contamination by dirt, oil, grease, dye, or other substances are rejectable. The color should be white to off-white, matching approved samples.
Packaging and Identification
  • Carton: Products are packed in bulk corrugated cartons strong enough for transit and storage. Stacking pallets higher than two tiers is not recommended.
  • Identification: Each carton must have a content label for identification.

USE These cardable fibers are designed to be opened and blended with natural and organic synthetic fibers, utilizing conventional textile equipment for the manufacture of intimate blend yarns and dry formed non-woven fabrics. The purchaser agrees to satisfy himself as to the suitability of the cardable fibers for the intended use and assumes responsibility for its performance in that use. It is recommended that the customer process a sufficient quantity of the cardable fibers to assure that the total range of variation inherent in the product has been evaluated.
