Product catalog summary
Overview of Agilent GTA 120 Graphite Furnace System
The Agilent GTA 120 Graphite Furnace system is designed to offer high sensitivity, excellent background correction, high productivity, reduced running costs, and ease of use. It is compatible with the 240Z, 280Z, 240, 240FS, and 280FS AA systems.
Furnace Performance
The system excels in handling challenging samples, achieving high atomization temperatures for refractory elements like V, Mo, and Ti. The Constant Temperature Zone (CTZ) design ensures rapid and uniform heating, enhancing sensitivity and precision.
Zeeman Background Correction
Agilent's Zeeman systems provide comprehensive background correction, handling structured backgrounds and spectral interferences. The transverse AC modulated Zeeman configuration maximizes light throughput and improves correction accuracy by 11-fold using a three-point polynomial interpolation.
Graphite Tube Lifetime and Cost Efficiency
The GTA 120 extends graphite tube lifetimes and reduces argon consumption by up to 40% through a two-stage external gas flow system, optimizing gas use based on temperature requirements.
Productivity with PSD 120 Autosampler
The PSD 120 autosampler enhances productivity with a capacity for 130 samples, automating sample preparation processes and reducing wait times between analyses. It offers flexible dispensing options for GFAAS.
Ease of Use Features
Tube-CAM video monitoring aids in method development and analysis monitoring. An optional fume extraction accessory simplifies autosampler alignment. The Surface Response Methodology (SRM) software Wizard assists in optimizing furnace methods, reducing training needs.

Sensitive and accurate furnace AA-2

Outstanding furnace performance for challenging samples While atomizing the sample, the magnet operates at twice the mains frequency to accurately track the background signal. A three point polynomial interpolation is applied to the background signal to further improve the determination of the background and provide an 11-fold improvement in correction accuracy. Agilent’s integrated GTA 120 and Zeeman GTA 120 Graphite Tube Atomizers are best known for outstanding furnace performance, no matter how difficult the sample. Agilent’s furnace design is capable of reaching the high atomization temperatures...

Sensitive and accurate furnace AA-3

Extended graphite tube lifetime The GTA 120 reduces running costs by minimizing argon consumption and extending graphite tube lifetimes. The two stage external gas flow in the furnace work head greatly extends tube lifetimes. Gas consumption can be reduced by up to 40% compared to other designs by using low flows at low temperatures, and high flows at high temperatures when the graphite tube needs maximum protection. Figure 3. TUBE-Cam simplifies method development and enables you to set the dispensing height and monitor the analysis. Increased productivity with the PSD 120 The optional fume...
