It is suitable for SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), SMB (Small Medium Business), and ROBO (Remote Office, Branch Office) segments. It is designed with the low power VIA® Eden™/ C7™ processor with on–board system memory of 1GB. Both CompactFlash™ and DDR2 DIMM socket can be accessed and replaced for software upgrades through the easily removable cover. The SCB-6970 supports four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports with bypass function on two ports. Each Ethernet interface has LED indicators for power, HDD, LAN activity and transfer rate status. For easy access, the back panel has a 9-pin, RS-232 serial port for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. The SCB-6970 has a place reserved for an optional slim-type 2.5" IDE HDD.
