The characteristics of electrostatic filtration compared to mechanical filtration differ because of their reduced capacity for accumulation of larger particulate size and higher concentrations of dust combined with their high effectiveness in capturing fumes heavily contaminated wit oil and grease or even oil mist with low emulsion load. A specific application for the ECO N AIR CLEANER is for grinding machines in which the recovery of the aspirated emulsion is guaranteed, with subsequent return to the workplace of filtered air. National and international regulations allow the use of these devices in replacement of conventional air cleaners with an articulated arm in special situations such as occasional or discontinuous use (e.g. 20 hours out of a 40 hour working week) or in situations in which the work processes are dynamic to the point at which a fixed capture system is ineffective. In addition, filtration unit also purifies the air in the surrounding environment, so not only treating the area contaminated by the work process but simultaneously creating air exchange in the workplace and further decreasing the level of pollutants present. To comply with regulations and to obtain high quality filtration with consequent safety for the operator, the filters correct maintenance/periodic replacement is essential of the filters, which, in our units, provide high filtration capacity and very low costs for the filter sections. In the case of intermittent work processes however, such pollutants can be aspirated and filtered out of the air, which is subsequently returned to the workplace. In this case, in addition to the use of portable air cleaner systems the installation of ambient ventilation systems may be required.
