ZCM - 1

Zigbee-Control Module for lighting drivers Electronic ballast and LED driver Smart analog and digital control The ZCM series of fully isolated controllers are designed for the demands of high performance Smart Lighting applications. They offer an extremely long lifetime due to the use of highly reliable components and a proprietary topology. They feature an efficient Energy- on-Demand management capability when used with any dimmable electronic ballast, and are ideal for implementation of SmartGrid lighting solutions. These smart wireless controllers operate in a Zigbee network and offer three dimming output options: » Analog (ZCMA) » DALI (ZCMD, under development) » Wireless networking using ZigbeeTM standard Dimming output: analog, PWM or DALI » Input sensors: motion, light, temperature » High power remote ON/OFF AC output (300W) » Network operation without coordinator » Stand-alone operation » High reliability: life time >10 years The ZCM controllers are available with a switched AC power output rated at 300W, suitable for feeding an external LED driver. This output can be turned on or off via the Zigbee network, allowing reduced power consumption in standby operation to help comply with Energy Star. An auxiliary output of 12V/65mA is suitable for driving motion sensors, lumen sensors or cooling devices. The controllers have a standard enclosed plastic housing Note: higher IP level and/or customized housing can be STANDARD FEATURES » Conformal coated PCB in IP20 housing » Operating temperature range: -30°C to +60°C (with » Thermal feedback dimming » Full safety approval (ENEC and UL pending; CE) POWER SOLUTIONS

APPLICATION INFORMATION DIMMING OUTPUT The ZCM-series provides a dimming output signal to be used with an associated LED driver. This dimming output can be either a standard 0-10 V analog control signal a PWM or digital (DALI) output. Refer to ordering information for corresponding part numbers. The dimming output can also be used with any other dimmable electronic ballast, allowing the ZCM to control lighting technologies such as fluorescent or plasma The ZCM-series offers an optional AC output (300W maximum) which can switch the AC power input of the driver. By using the ZCM-series ON/OFF...

APPLICATION INFORMATION The ZCM-series supports dimming through the ZigBee wireless interface. AEG-proprietary configuration software ("Clairbee") is available that interfaces with the Zigbee module, allowing the user to enter preset dimming levels for different conditions and different times of day, as required. The dimming can also be linked to the optional motion sensor and ambient light sensor inputs, to allow full control of brightness in a network. (Consult AEG Power Solutions for more information on MOTION SENSORS The ZCM-series works with 1 or 2 logic level motion sensors (active...
