General Description
Rotative level controls are used for monitoring the level of powdered or granular materials in containers. The device consists of a plastic housing and operates through a low-speed synchronous motor that rotates a paddle inside the container. When the paddle is free of material, it rotates, but the presence of material slows the rotation, triggering a switch that cuts power to the motor. The paddle resumes rotation when the material level drops, freeing the paddle.

Mounting Instructions
The unit is mounted on the external wall of the container using a 1 1/2" GAS threaded connection. It is crucial that the material can move freely around the paddle and that the paddle is not directly hit by the material flow. Deflectors may be necessary to protect the paddle when dealing with heavy materials.

Accessories
Available accessories include single or double stainless steel paddle propellers, cable or shaft extensions with maximum lengths of 1 and 2 meters, and a 6-hole metallic flange for wall mounting of the RL-A control.

Technical Characteristics
The housing is made of grey plastic PA6, suitable for temperatures between -20°C and +80°C, and pressures from 0.5 to 1.8 bar. Sensitivity is adjustable in three positions. The supply voltage options are 24 Vdc, 24/48 Vac, and 110/220 Vac, with a maximum absorption of 2.5W or 4VA. The device has an IP66 protection rating.

ATEX Series
The RL-A AD ATEX series is marked for use in hazardous areas, with temperature ranges for Zone 20 and Zone 21. It features similar technical specifications to the standard series but includes additional safety markings for explosive environments.

Wiring Diagrams and Voltage Instructions
Wiring diagrams are provided for both standard and ATEX models, with instructions for changing supply voltage in non-ATEX models. The rotation force can be adjusted to weak, average, or hard settings.

Suggestions for Mounting
When mounting the RL-A laterally, ensure the cable gland faces downwards to prevent water infiltration. Adjustments may be needed to facilitate paddle entry into the fixing hole.
