MAGNETIC SENSORS FOR CYLINDERS

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and installation instructions for Aeco's Magneto-Resistive Sensors, specifically the SHP-6T and SEM-6T series. These sensors are designed for precise shaft positioning in pneumatic cylinders by detecting the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet.
Technical Specifications:
  • Response Sensitivity: < 2.8 mT for SHP-6T, < 3 mT for SEM-6T.
  • Voltage: 10 ÷ 30 V for SHP-6T, 10V DC ÷ 250V AC/DC for SEM-6T.
  • Switching Frequency: < 2 Hz for SHP-6T, < 10 Hz for SEM-6T.
  • Hysteresis: < 20% for both series.
  • Max Output Current: 100 mA for SHP-6T, 40mA / 250V, 100mA / 100V for SEM-6T.
  • Temperature Limits: -25 ÷ +75°C for both series.
  • IP Rating: IP67 for both series.
Installation Instructions:
  • Insert the sensor into the T-slot of the cylinder.
  • Turn the sensor to align it properly.
  • Tighten the fixing screw to secure the sensor.
Wiring Diagrams:
  • For SHP-6T: Brown wire for positive, Blue for negative, Black for output PNP NO.
  • For SEM-6T: Brown wire for positive, Blue for negative, output NO.
Additional Features:
  • Both series include an LED indicator for signaling the final cylinder shaft position.
  • Short circuit protection is incorporated in both series.

MAGNETIC SENSORS FOR CYLINDERS-2

Magneto-Resistive Sensors “SHP-6T” SERIES The Aeco Magneto-Resistive sensors SHP series are particularly suitable for applica tions where is needed know the exact shaft positioning of a pneumatic cylinder . To achieve this information the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet in the cylinder is detected by means of a sensor fixed externally in the T slot. When the magnet approaches the sensor a sensible component to the magnetic field contained in its electronics controls that a given value is reached. When reaching such value the LED indicator and the sensor output activate signaling...
