MAGNETIC FLOAT LEVEL CONTROLS
Magnetic float level controls are designed for liquid level detection using a reed contact inside a shaft and an operating magnet in the float. The float moves with the liquid level changes, triggering the reed contact. The principle is similar to magnetic sensors. Three models are available: one with a plastic housing and two with AISI 316 stainless steel, suitable for high temperatures of +100°C and +150°C.
- Minimum liquid specific gravity: 0.9 for SLM/P-08 NO, 0.75 for others.
- Switching distance: >3 mm for all models.
- Max switching voltage: 125V for SLM/P-08 NO, 250V for others.
- Max switching current: 1A for SLM/P-08 NO, 0.5A for others.
- Max switching power: 10W/VA for SLM/P-08 NO, 50W/VA for others.
- Max switching frequency: 230 Hz for all models.
- Contact actuation time: 2 ms for all models.
- Repeatability: ±0.3 mm for all models.
- Temperature limits: -20°C to +100°C for SLM/P-08 NO and SLM-08 NO GM1, -20°C to +150°C for SLM-08 NO GM1 150°C.
- IP rating: 67 for all models.
- Cable: PVC 2x0.25 for SLM/P-08 NO and SLM-08 NO GM1, Teflon 2x0.25 for SLM-08 NO GM1 150°C.
- Body and float housing: Polypropylene for SLM/P-08 NO, AISI 316 for others.
The level control is supplied with a normally open (NO) output contact. The function can be inverted to normally closed (NC) by turning the float upside down. Wiring involves connecting brown and blue wires.
