FeedBeads® is a polymer-based slow-release system designed for controlled glucose delivery in bioreactors. It facilitates substrate-limited fed-batch conditions without the need for additional equipment like tubing or pumps.
- Available in two sizes: Ø 12mm for shake flasks and Ø 6mm for microtiter plates.
- Glucose is the primary substrate, with other crystalline nutrients available upon request.
- Tested under conditions of 0.1M phosphate buffer, pH 7, at 37°C.
- Designed to improve screening security and is suitable for high throughput screening (HTS).
- Easy handling and reproducible pre-culture synchronization.
- Reduces overflow mechanisms in cultures and avoids the Crabtree Effect and Overflow Metabolism.
