Ethernet analog input system

Product catalog summary
Overview: The MSX-E3027 is an intelligent Ethernet analog input system designed for robust data acquisition in industrial environments. It features 16 differential analog inputs with 16-bit resolution, housed in a stainless steel casing with IP 67 protection, suitable for harsh conditions.
Specifications: The system supports voltage and optional current inputs, with input ranges of ±5 V, ±10 V (16-bit), and 0-5 V, 0-10 V (15-bit). It offers a sampling frequency of up to 100 kHz across four simultaneous channels. The system includes a 4 GB extended memory and a buffered real-time clock that operates for up to four weeks without power.
Features: Key features include optical isolation, overvoltage protection, internal temperature monitoring, and status LEDs for diagnostics. The system is equipped with an ARM 32-bit processor and 64 MB onboard SDRAM for data storage. It supports Ethernet communication with two ports and offers synchronization capabilities in the microsecond range.
Interfaces and Communication: The MSX-E3027 provides multiple communication interfaces, including a web server for configuration, SOAP for command transfer, and TCP/IP or UDP sockets for data acquisition. It also supports Modbus TCP and UDP for command transmission.
Acquisition Modes: The system offers development, auto-refresh, and sequence modes for data acquisition. In auto-refresh mode, measurement values are updated automatically, while sequence mode allows for chronological data acquisition.
Environmental and Operational Parameters: The system operates within a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C and consumes 160 mA at 24 V. It is designed for cascading and synchronization with other MSX-E systems, enhancing its scalability and integration capabilities.
Configuration and Management: The ConfigTools software facilitates easy administration and configuration of the MSX-E systems, allowing for IP address changes, firmware updates, and system cloning.
Ordering Information: The MSX-E3027 comes with technical documentation, software drivers, and ConfigTools. Various connection cables and options for current input and Modbus TCP client library are available.

Acquisition modes Auto-refresh mode In auto-refresh mode, the measurement values are updated automatically after each acquisition. The acquisition is initialised once and the values of the channels are stored in the memory/of the MSX-E Ethernet system. The client (e.g. PC, server, PLC, ...) reads the acquired values asynchronously to the acquisition through socket connection, SOAP or Modbus function. Thereby, the new value is read and the old values are overwritten. In addition to the measurement values, the auto-refresh counter can also be read, which allows to sort the measurement values chronologically....
