Batteries for A73x, A75x, RA440-1

SMART WIRELESS SOLUTIONS ADCON 3.3Ah NiMH Battery Pack The Adcon Battery packs for the A73x and the A75x series of RTUs are built from the finest cells currently available on the market: an extremely durable and resistant Panasonic series of Nickel-Metal-Hydrid cells, that were especially developed in Japan to meet the criteria of challenging, particularly of high-temperature environments. Conventional NiMH cells have an operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C, within which they accept charge and can be discharged. Beyond this range their chemistry starts to change, causing internal gas pressure to rise, which leads to a deterioration of performance and might result in rupture of the battery. Standard Battery-Pack for RTUs A731/2/3, A75x and RA440 The Adcon batteries in turn are rated to operate between -10°C and +60°C at a nominal discharge of 750mA. At the low discharge typical for our weather stations, this temperature range extends to -25° to 70°C. All cells have an integrated self-sealing safety vent - internal pressure can never build up and lead to damage of the battery. Adcon RTUs apply “trickle charge currents” of 60 - 80mA to extend the lifetime of batteries. Lifetime is usually expressed in charging/discharging cycles. Our batteries are rated at 500 cycles or more, vastly extended by trickle charge operation. Please note: standard NiMH batteries are rated at 300 cycles or less and do not support trickle charge! All our battery packs come with an integrated auto-resetting fuse that prevents damage in case of short circuiting the battery. Packs come with adequate cable lengths, original JST connector, properly dimensioned heat shrink tube, and are individually tested at production.
