OverviewWashers are designed to distribute the pressure of
nuts or bolts evenly over the secured part, reducing the risk of damage. High specification washers offer additional features such as resistance to loosening and are suitable for oversized or oval holes.
Types of Washers- Nomel® Conical Washer: Designed to prevent loosening through elastic compensation of expansion and contraction and elimination of play. Ideal for applications requiring vibration resistance and parts supporting temperature variations.
- Nomel® Contact Washer: Creates an elastic pre-load in a threaded joint to reduce the risk of unwanted loosening. Suitable for oversized or oval holes, applications requiring vibration resistance, and parts subject to temperature variations. The conical geometry and splines provide high resistance to loosening while avoiding damage to the workpiece.
- Onduflex® Washer: Compensates for axial play and misalignment in an assembly, reducing the risk of disassembly. Available in two types: waved spring locking washer for soft materials like aluminum, copper, and plastics, and waved spring damping washer which compensates for axial play.
Benefits- Elastic function maintains tension in assembly.
- Prevents damage to soft material surfaces.
- Good resistance to torque-to-turn, locking function, and vibration resistance.
- Avoids deterioration of surfaces in contact with the washer.
