Power Unit: The equipment is powered by a 58 HP diesel engine operating at 2,300 RPM with a 12-volt electric start. An optional electric TEFC 3-phase 460VAC induction motor at 1,800 RPM is available, along with other power options.
Feed Mechanism: The main feed uses a chain drive mechanism with options for 3 ft., 7 ft., or 11 ft. feed lengths, driven by a planetary hydraulic drive unit, providing thrust and pull of 10,900 lbs.
Drill Drive: Power is transmitted from the prime mover through a variable volume over-center piston pump and a tandem fixed volume pump.
Drill Head: Features a 3-5/8” open spindle with four gear options: 1st gear (0-120 RPM, 3,028 ft./lbs. torque), 2nd gear (0-252 RPM, 1,452 ft./lbs. torque), 3rd gear (0-456 RPM, 788 ft./lbs. torque), and 4th gear (0-750 RPM, 458 ft./lbs. torque). It includes a lateral slide feature and an optional hinge-type.
Mast: Constructed from welded rectangular structural steel tubes, it supports and guides feed components. It is positioned with a hydraulic cylinder and can drill at angles or vertically under 8 ft. ceilings with low clearance sheaves.
Main Drum Hoist: A planetary type hoist with a capacity of 4,500 lbs. and 75 ft. of 5/16” cable, powered hydraulically.
Track Mounting: The drill is mounted on a structural steel frame with self-propelled 9” rubber crawler tracks, featuring independent reversible hydraulic motor drive. Tracks can retract to 33-1/2” and extend to 39-1/2”.
Hydraulic Features: Includes a hydraulic oil cooler and four swing-away hydraulic leveling jacks.
Additional Equipment: Includes a hydraulically powered cathead hoist, quick disconnect adapter, auger guide, hydraulically driven water pump with variable speed controls, front winch with 12,000 lbs. capacity, Ackermatic hydraulic chuck, probe hammer, and full function remote radio control for tramming and winch operations.
