Product catalog summary
Company Overview: RABOURDIN SAS, founded in 1926, specializes in precision mechanics and standardized parts for mold and cutting manufacturers. Under the leadership of Juliette and Guillaume Rabourdin, the company has modernized to enhance customer service and product development.
Product Specifications: The document outlines various gas springs, including CSR, AR, AR/P, AR/C, KCR, and SK models, each with specific force and diameter specifications. These springs comply with the European Community PED directive for safety and reliability.
Technical Features: Constructed from high-strength steel, the gas springs feature heat-treated components, high-quality seals, guide rings, and an internal lubrication system to extend lifespan and reduce maintenance.
Operational Guidelines: Operating with nitrogen gas at a maximum pressure of 15 MPa, these springs do not require initial pre-tensioning. Optimal conditions include avoiding overheating and maintaining a rod speed of no more than 12 m/minute.
Maintenance and Warranty: Guaranteed for a minimum operational life of 75,000 linear meters, the springs require maintenance under critical conditions. The warranty covers one year from operation start, contingent on proper use.
Safety and Compliance: Springs are ISO-marked and comply with the PED directive. Proper handling, pressure limits, and installation are crucial for safety and functionality.
Nitrogen Cylinders Overview: Similar to mechanical springs, these cylinders operate without preloading and are hermetically sealed. They have a maximum charging pressure of 15 MPa and a final pressure of 25 MPa during compression.
Operating Procedures: Recommended to perform cycles after inactivity to optimize sealing. Avoid overheating and charge with N2 nitrogen gas only.
Maintenance and Safety: Guaranteed for 75,000 linear meters, maintenance is needed under critical conditions. Safety caps are not fitted due to the sturdy structure.
Identification and Standards: Cylinders comply with ISO standards and the PED directive, with a one-year warranty covering defects.
Selection and Installation: Consider pressure increase during compression. Guidelines are provided for calculating cylinder needs based on forces and pressures.
Warnings: Avoid damaging cylinders and use only nitrogen gas for charging. Worn cylinders must be replaced.
Additional Information: Includes tables and diagrams with model specifications and performance data.
Warranty and Limitations: Replacement parts are produced after defect confirmation. Warranty excludes natural wear and modifications. Legal warranties remain unaffected.
Surface and Thermal Treatment: Liability is limited to treatment price, with costs borne by the buyer for defective parts.
Payment Terms: Invoices are payable within 30 days, with interest and fees for late payments.
Retention of Title Clause: Ownership transfers upon full payment, with risks transferring upon delivery.
Disputes: Governed by French law, handled by the Paris Commercial Court.

CYLINDER FEATURES AND TYPOLOGY The main components of cylinders, such as the body, rod and the ferrule are made of highly resistant steel subjected to heat treatments and surface finishing to ensure high performance and long life. The piston rod seals and guide rings are very high quality, selected after careful evaluation of their features. The internal lubrication system of each cylinder guarantees longer life of sliding parts, heavily reducing maintenance operations and increasing productivity. The stringent tests carried out on the finished product for every type of cylinder under particularly...

OPERATING TEMPERATURE The maximum permissible operating temperature is 80°C. The temperature change inside the cylinder causes a change in the charging pressure: an increase of 1° C corresponds to an increase in pressure of 0.33%. WARNINGS In order to obtain longer and better life of the cylinders, the user should take the following precautions during use: • Avoid operations or damage on the bodies or rods. • Do not remove the rod protections before use, accidental shocks can damage the surface. • The cylinders must be charged only with N2 nitrogen gas. • Charging must be performed with the rod...
