TECHNICAL PRODUCT SHEET Main features Absorpole is to be installed vertically. It is activated by pulling out the inner grey container. After securing the collector with a pin from the back, Absorpole shall be hung from a container lashing ring with its integrated hook. Make sure to leave at least 25 mm / 1’’ of space between the cargo and the desiccant. DESICCANT TYPE CONTAINER DESICCANT TYPES AVAILABLE ABSORBING AGENT CALCIUM CHLORIDE WITH Absorpole starts to work immediately. The calcium chloride absorbs moisture from the air and dissolves it into a brine that will be trapped in the off-white collector. Once captured, the moisture will not reevaporate back into the air. Absortech’s products are intended for single use. To minimize the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used desiccant: PLASTIC PARTS Absorpole off-white (PE) and grey parts (PP) are made with 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled. Non-woven can also be recycled. CALCIUM CHLORIDE BRINE If you choose to discard the calcium chloride, notice that calcium chloride needs to be handled as hazardous waste in some regions since it can be eye irritating.
