Product Overview
Absorpole® is a desiccant designed to prevent moisture damage during transport. It uses calcium chloride with a purity of 77% as the absorbing agent, capable of absorbing approximately 150% moisture under field conditions. The product is available in 1.2 kg units and is made from non-woven permeable material.

Installation and Usage
The desiccant is installed vertically using an integrated hook and should be hung from a container lashing ring. It is activated by pulling out the inner grey container and starts working immediately by absorbing moisture and converting it into a brine that is trapped in the collector.

Environmental Impact
Each unit has a climate impact of 0.929 kg CO2 before offsetting, which is managed through Gold Standard projects. The product is made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled after use. Calcium chloride brine disposal should comply with local hazardous waste regulations.

Product Specifications
The product dimensions are 1180 mm in length, 116 mm in width, and 35 mm in height. It is available in different packaging configurations, with box and pallet options.

Operational Guidelines
The operational temperature range is -20 °C to 70 °C. The quantity needed varies based on shipment time, climate conditions, and cargo type. For a 20 ft container, 6-8 units are recommended for short distances (~30 days) and 8-10 units for long distances (~60 days). For a 40 ft container, 10-12 units are recommended for short distances and 12-14 units for long distances.

Recycling and Disposal
Absorpole is intended for single use, but components can be recycled. The product can be included in Absortech’s Return-to-Reuse program, where parts are recycled and reused.

After securing the collector with a pin from the back, Absorpole shall be hung from a container lashing ring with its integrated hook. Make sure to leave at least 25 mm / 1’’ of space between the cargo and the desiccant. To minimize the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used desiccant: PLASTIC PARTS Absorpole off-white (PE) and grey parts (PP) are made with 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled. Non-woven can also be recycled.
