It is housed in a robust metal case and designed to meet the requirements of BS613. It embodies a discharge resistor and varistor. Can be parallel connected for higher current handling or series connected for even higher attenuation. Content is hemetically sealed for added safety. Connection is easily made via screw terminals so that stripped wires or blade contacts may be used. Mounting is via four holes using M5 screws.
