The Fx4 is a programable electronic ignition Full Sequence Controller for gas burning appliances which enable instant configuration to any OEM requirement. It provides ionisation flame detection and offers a choice of separate or combined ignition and flame detection electrodes. It can be supplied with any working voltage in the range 3V (aC or DC) up to 230V 50/60Hz. Housed in a very compact IP20 enclosure, the control can be mounted in any orientation. Of course, the operating voltage can be specified as well. Altogether, the Fx4 can electrically mimic practically any ignition unit on the market today. This makes it an idea control for both new and legacy products. Connection to the Fx4 is via a 2-part 10 way connector. The board should be wired as shown above for Pilot application. The flame should be sensed on the pilot for permanent pilot application. For dual probe (separate spark/flame sensing) operation connect SR (pin 1) to earth (pin 3). For single probe (combined spark/flame sensing) connect SR (pin 1) to FP (pin 4). The spark electrode will thus sense flame as well.
