Using AAF’s patented PerfectPleat filter as a base, our engineers developed the PerfectPleat HD M8 filter by incorporating maximum structural reinforcement into the PerfectPleat filter’s already extremely durable construction. At the heart of the PerfectPleat HD M8 filter is AAF’s patented, self supporting DuraFlex media. We retained the support straps and pleat stabilizer assembly characteristic of the innovative PerfectPleat filter media pack. We added a die-cut frame for additional strength and moisture-resistant adhesive to bond the media pack to the cell sides and give the PerfectPleat HD M8 filter a broader operating temperature range. DuraFlex® Media – Patented Media Design Uniform size virgin fibers are assembled in closely controlled blends to create a media that is both self-supporting and consistent in performance. When pleated, DuraFlex media will hold its shape without the wire support characteristic of conventional pleated filters. That means no potential for the formation of rust and safer handling — no nicks or cuts for the installer. With the superior resiliency of DuraFlex media and no need for wire support, PerfectPleat HD M8 filters can sustain significant abuse and maintain their shape and pleat spacing. The absence of wire also makes the filter totally incinerable which can simplify disposal. The PerfectPleat HD M8 filter is not intended for standard applications, with normal variations in temperature or airflow. PerfectPleat filters can handle those conditions. The PerfectPleat HD M8 filter is the choice when an application routinely challenges filters with very low temperature (down to -40˚F/-40˚C) and/or high turbulence.
