Product catalog summary
Product Overview: The Whirligig is a universal shaft sensor mount designed to simplify the installation of motion sensors. It serves as a target, bracket, and guard for cylindrical or DIN style inductive sensors, including M100, M300, and M800 speed sensors.
Application: The Whirligig is suitable for all industry-standard cylindrical sensors and ensures easy, reliable, and fully guarded installation. It is designed to move with the shaft, minimizing the impact of vibration on sensor performance.
Method of Operation: The Whirligig supports universal application for DIN style sensors, requires only an M12 tapped hole or a MagCon for magnetic connection, and includes brackets for 30mm and 18mm diameter sensors.
Part Numbers/Accessories: Various models and accessories are available, including WG1A-BR, WG2A-BR, WG4A-BR, WG8A-BR, MG1-BR, WG HD, WGB3060, WGB1830, and MAG2000M.
Technical Specifications: The Whirligig is made of stainless steel and polypropylene, with a sealed heavy-duty stainless steel bearing. It supports a maximum speed of 1500 RPM and offers 1, 2, 4, or 8 pulses. The MagCon magnetic connector simplifies installation further, with a holding force of over 660 Newtons and a maximum speed of 300 RPM.
Installation Example: The Whirligig can be installed on an enclosed belt conveyor, shown with an M800 speedswitch, to monitor machine shafts effectively.
