Product catalog summary
Overview: The document describes a modular horticultural heating mat designed for plant propagation and germination. It consists of interlocking tighteners and spacers forming a large surface grid for laying heating cables. The recommended grid size is 20x20cm.
Specifications: The heating mat uses tighteners (500mm), spacers (500mm), and heating cables (300W, 230V, 20m length). For 2m², use 20 tighteners, 20 spacers, and either 1 or 2 heating cables depending on the desired power (150W/m² or 300W/m²).
Applications: Primarily used for plant cutting and seed germination in greenhouses or forcing beds. The power requirement is typically 150W/m², increasing to 300W/m² for specific plants like geraniums and Mediterranean species. Temperature regulation is achieved using a thermostat with a sensor placed between heating cables.
Advantages: Compared to standalone heating cables, the mat ensures uniform heat distribution and prevents hot spots. Compared to aluminum surfaces, it elevates growing trays to prevent root rot from water accumulation.
Installation: The mat is easy to install. It is recommended to place an insulating material at the bottom of the shelf to minimize heat loss. Tighteners and spacers are assembled by pressing female studs onto male studs and can be cut to fit. Heating cables are pressed into spacer grooves. Electrical connections should be done by a professional.
Thermostats: Two types are available: a capillary thermostat (0°C to +40°C) and an electronic thermostat with alarms (-8°C to +30°C). Both have specific output capacities and sensor types.
Warnings: Do not use with expanded polystyrene boxes. Ensure proper thermostat bulb placement and wiring to avoid overheating or non-heating issues.
Troubleshooting: Common issues include incorrect thermostat bulb placement and wiring errors. Solutions involve verifying wiring and thermostat settings.
Legal Disclaimer: The manufacturer is not liable for consequential damages. Users are responsible for determining product suitability for their needs.

Description is an heating mat made of tighteners and spacers which are fitted together to make up large surface network on which are laid down one or several heating cables. We advise to build a 20x20cm network. Applications is mainly used for plant cutting and propagation, as well in greenhouse shelves as in forcing beds ; square meter power is usually 150W/m2 (300W/m2 for geranium plant cutting and Mediterranean seed propagation such as melons, aubergines, gourds, and so on… ) and temperature has to be regulated through a thermostat of which sensor is placed on a level with cords, between two heating wires (keep one groove free of cable to place sensor) ; full watertightness makes possible “casseroling” (greenhouses shelf or forcing bed covered with translucent polyethylene sheet
