DITCH WITCH® ELECTRONICS 950R/T and 970T Locating Equipment A B Location, Location, Location. The 950R/T system is the quickest way to locate buried telephone, CATV, power, gas, and water lines. In active mode, the 950T and 970T offer simultaneous 8 and 29 kHz transmission to make an alternate signal available if one is hard to detect. In passive mode, the 950R detects signals generated by 31 kHz (CATV) and 50/60 Hz power, as well as re-radiated radio frequencies. And in beacon mode, the 950R detects signals from optional beacons to locate non-metallic service lines. KEY FEATURES (Photograph A) 950R/T offers simultaneous 8 and 29 kHz transmission, so an alternate signal is available if one is hard to detect; 80 kHz frequency is helpful in locating old tracer wires and pipes with insulators. The 970T can transmit all 950T frequencies plus a 200-kHz frequency for more difficult locates. In active mode, the 950T and 970T transmit via direct-line connection, induction clamp or induced broadcast signals. 970T’s best-in-class 5-watt output and 80-hour battery life help provide maximum productivity.
