Series NE-SR5 Electric Spring Return Actuator ACTUATORS & CONTROLS THE ELECTRIC SOLUTION OPTIONAL FEATURES NIBCO has taken the lead in offering a cost effective Electric Spring Return Actuator. The NE-SR5 Series actuator offers a variety of solutions when a system needs protection against a loss of power The NE-SR5 is designed for use in environments where automatic closing/opening is required upon loss of power. When power is available the device operates like a normal quarterturn actuator. • Under powered operation, the spring pack travels with the movement of the actuator. • Under powered stopped conditions, the actuator and spring are held in position via the electric mechanical brake • Under loss of power, the spring is released and drives the actuator to the pre-designated failsafe position. • Modulating service (separate enclosure) • Standard 1K ohm pot • 220 VAC 50/60 Hz motor • Up to 4 Auxiliary switch sets • Counter clockwise (CCW) spring return STANDARD FEATURES • Heater and Thermostat • Permanently lubricated steel gear train • Hardened steel female drive coupling • Electric mechanical brake • Thermally protected, capacitor run, single phase motor • Clockwise (CW) spring return • Two 1/2" NPT conduit entrances • Captive hex bolts on enclosure • F04 and F05 DIN/ISO Mount and Drive • Adjustable mechanical stop at the failsafe location • Enclosure certified to NEMA type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 5 and 12 Model Number Material Number SERIES NE-SR5 TECHNICAL DATA Torque (against spring) Torque (with spring) Motor Ratings NESR5 © Copyright 2001, NIBCO INC. • www.nibco.com
