Functional description:

1. On power-fail, the output terminals will be switched as inthe Alarm state. There can’t be optical indication for this state. The level probe and the level guard, model ULW, form one functional unit. The level guard monitors the current throughthe electrodes, which will raise as soon as any conductive liquid connects the tips of the electrodes. The guardian will then activate the relay and operate the switch-over-contacts, by that the terminals 1 and 3 (Alarm status) are connected. The system is designed to provide a fail-safe operation: 2. In the possible case of an interruption in the probe cable, the guardian will switch to the Alarm state. This feature is implemented by mounting a resistor between the two electrodes in the probe connector housing. There will be a small idle current flowing through this resistor, even without that the tips are moisten. On cable interruption the yellow LED (Stop) will indicate this error and the terminals 1 and 3 are connected to issue an alarm.
