A01 60 Hz North America 163 Construction Operating conditions and product life Safety equipment The fans may only be operated when they are installed as intended, and when safety is ensured by safety equipment according to DIN EN ISO 13857 or by other protection measures. Protection type IP54 (IEC 60529) IP55 on request Condensation drain holes The lower of the condensation drain holes must be open depending on whether mounting position Vo (rotor above) or Vu (rotor below) is used. With mounting position H, the condensate can escape via the gap between stator and rotor. Temperature range...

164 A01 60 Hz North America Motor suspensions are manufactured as wire support grilles or as a welded construction with flat steel braces, depending upon the fan dimensions. Both the wire support grilles and the flat steel braces are coated with weatherproof synthetic material. Axial fans in series FB and FL have stamped aluminium blades and depending on the motor size, the blades are riveted or bolted onto the external rotor motor. Rotor and stator flanges are die-cast in sea water-resistant aluminium alloy. The fans are not coated. Axial fans in series FC, FE are die-cast and have one...

166 A01 60 Hz North America Personal injury protection (guard grille) can only be included, if the motor suspension (and in some cases, the wall ring) is included in the delivery. Depending upon the airflow direction, the personal injury protection (guard grille) is mounted either on the inlet or discharge side of the fan blades. Please pay attention to the notes regarding the personal contact protection in the technical data sheets. The range of accessories available includes separate guard grilles which can be mounted to DIN EN ISO 13857 chart 4 on either the discharge or inlet side of...

A01 60 Hz North America 169 Connection cables Halogen-free, sheathed flexible cables, that are resistant to heat and UV light are used, either colour-coded, or with connection identifiers. For fan motors a rubber sheathed cable is used. The design of the cable complies with VDE 0282 part 804 and is suitable for operating voltages up to 690 V. The connection cables are suitable for use in the temperature range -50 to +150OC (-58°F to 302°F). Terminals are stripped to 10 cm and provided with wire-end sleeves. They are identified by means of colour code or connector IDs. Operating capacitor...
