WZ1 INVERTED BUCKET STEAM TRAPS OPERATING PRINCIPLES The WZ steam trap is an inverted bucket steam trap. It operates as the steam or condensate filled bucket inside moves up and down under its own weight, shutting or opening the internal valve. SELECTION RULES In order to select the steam trap correctly it is necessary to not only give the nominal pressure PN and the connection dimensions DN but also to provide two other parameters: the maximum differential pressure of the steam trap Apmax the maximum quantity of the condensate flow through the steam trap There is an acceptable error margin while estimating the maximum condensate flow through the steam trap. INSTALLATION RULES The self-acting steam trap must only be installed in the horizontal position of the pipe's axis in the way that the steam trap's cover is as shown on the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 oriented downwards. The cover's axis deviation of the steam trap from the riser should not surpass 5s in any direction.
