HPO & HPC series reciprocating high-pressure compressors

The HPO & HPC Series is a unique high-pressure applicationcompressor that is part ofthe comprehensive range ofrecip- rocating compressors available from YORK Refrigeration– all designed for heavy-duty industrial,offshore and marine applications.These compressors have a proven ability to work year after year under the toughest conditions,result-ing in thousands ofsatisfied customers all over the world.With 6 different sizes providing a displacement from97–452 m
3 /h at 1500 rpm,and with guaranteed ratings fora wide range ofdifferent refrigerants at working pressures ofup to 40 bar,there is a model ideallysuited to every application.The basic design was introduced in 1992 with the aim ofproviding an ammonia heat pump compressor.HPO & HPC compressors have subsequently been installed all over the world,producing hot water at temperatures up to 75°C atvery low cost.Many ofthe installations have been in breweries and abattoirswhere the HPO/HPC compressors serve as an extra "Super Charge" stage in a traditional ammonia plant.In addition to production ofhot water,the discharge gasesfrom the main ammonia plant are cooled down to low tem-peratures and by installation ofan additional coalescing oil separator the oil carry over from the main plant can be reduced significantly.Ammonia heat pumps are not the only application for theHPO & HPC series.The resurgence ofthe use ofCO
