Model 300A Integral Type Introduction The CBT series is a self-contained, portable, rugged, reliable and compact cable fault locator, ideal for field use for underground buried or pipeline cable fault locating, pin-pointing, route tracing, and depth detecting. It consists of a time domain reflector (TDR) for flash testing under assistance from an optional high voltage arc and surge unit, a low voltage wave signal generator and electro-magnetic-sonic receiver for route tracing and pin pointing. Flash test section is used to approximately detect the location of fault from one end of the cable, and also used for measuring cable length and electric wave propagation velocity in cable. Low voltage signal generator is an integral of the locator main body and is able to generate 15 kHz sine wave signal, which is used for buried cable path tracing or depth detecting. The electro- magnetic-sonic receiver is a separate and standard accessory and is used for path tracing or for accurately pin pointing of fault point within the range of flash test detected coarse length range. s selectable - Power supply: 220 V AC +/- 10%, 50 Hz - Working ambient: -10 to 45 deg.
