Efficient™ Extrusion Screw - Xaloy - #1

The patented design* of the Efficient™ Screw overcomes limitations of standard barrier screws with lead changes in the transition from the feed zone to the barrier section. This allows the introduction of the barrier flight and melt channel without choking off the solids channel.

• Increased melting efficiency due to elimination of solids bed breakup.

• Higher melting rate resulting from increased expo­sure of the solids bed to the barrel surface where melting occurs.

• Improved stability, thanks to the elimination of channel plugging at the entrance to the barrier section.

• Better mixing in the melt channel because melted material is subjected to moderate shear as it passes over the barrier flight.
