Electrical Stress Control Mastic - 14025 Electrical Stress Control Mastic

A pliable self amalgamating tape forelectrical stress control, void and gapfilling for MV power cable accessoryapplications. High permittivity and low loss tangent gives the mastic excellent stress controlling properties.Now re-formulated to provideenhanced tensile strength, tack andsurface appearance, the mastic is highlyresistant to impregnating compounds such as M.I.N.D and Rosin Oil which arecommonly used in paper insulatedcables. It contains a high molecular weight plasticiser which is nonextractable and therefore gives excellent compatibility with polymericinsulated cables.

Applications

Used to control electrical stresses at the end of the outer screen in joints andterminations for polymeric cables. Used to seal and control the stresses atthe crutch of 3 core paper insulatedcables in joints.Can also be used to control stresses atother locations in joints and terminations and to fill voids and gaps.
