While most fiber microscopes can only inspect male connectors, such as patch cords or pigtails, the JDSU FBE probe inspects both male (patch cord) and female (bulkhead) ends of an optical interconnect. The probe fits and operates comfortably and easily in-hand, letting users inspect hard-to-reach connectors that are installed on the backside of patch panels or inside hardware devices. This eliminates the need to access the backside of patch panels or disassemble hardware devices prior to inspection. Inspect Before You ConnectSM Patch Cord inspection Contamination is the number 1 reason for troubleshooting optical networks. Proactive inspection and cleaning of fiber connectors can prevent poor signal performance, equipment damage, and network downtime. FBET inspection Tips and adapters The JDSU interchangeable precision stainless-steel FBET inspection tips enable inspection of every common mainstream connector type and application. They are carefully designed and engineered for consistent and accurate inspection of fiber end face conditions, and their unique optics architecture provides true versatility and adaptability.
